Book Review: What Happened to You?

    November 16, 2021 /

In this month's book review, a co-authored work by Oprah Winfrey and psychiatrist, Dr. Bruce Perry, takes center stage. As a society, we have only begun to scratch the surface of how trauma impacts individuals, families, and communities. This book provides a great introduction to the spectrum of trauma and asks us to shift our questions about difficult people from "what is wrong with you?" to "what happened to you?" It does this with a mix of scientific information told through real-life stories. Read on to learn more about this fascinating introduction to a developing area of mental health.
